The Nukeproof Mega is an enduro bike built on the tenets of balance, predictability, and absolute speed. Originally conceived as the downhiller’s trail bike, it was purpose-built to conquer the legendary MEGAVALANCHE race in France and spawned a new category of bike that would be known as Enduro forever more.

Over the past decade, the Mega has earned its reputation as a race-winning machine — with multiple Enduro World Series stage wins and four overall EWS titles to its name. It’s the evolution of relentless development and refinement, shaped by the feedback of world-class racers and dedicated riders alike.

Now in its fourth generation, every detail of the Mega has been optimised for speed, control, and efficiency — built to go flat-out, wherever the trail leads.

29" or mullet?

Mullet setup has hor its significant advantages for shorter and mid-height riders mainly. Therefore we decided to deliver Giga in mullet 29"/27.5" for sizes S-M-L and sizes XL-XXL as full 29".

Nukeproof Mega Carbon-5 Large

This Mega is made from carbon

The latest Nukeproof Mega is built around a full T700/T800 UD carbon frame, engineered to provide the optimal balance of stiffness, strength, weight and vertical compliance. Each section uses a specific lay up tailored to the loads it experiences while riding. The front triangle is designed for maximum torsional stiffness and precision at high speed, while the carbon rear triangle delivers controlled flex to maintain grip and traction on rough or off camber terrain.

By using targeted fibre orientation and variable wall thicknesses, the engineers refined the frame’s spring characteristics and reduced unsprung mass, resulting in faster suspension response and more accurate wheel control. The outcome is a structure that climbs efficiently and descends with stability and control, a purely functional and technologically balanced platform developed for the toughest enduro conditions.

Mega features

The Nukeproof Mega is engineered from the ground up to make riding and maintenance straightforward. Practical details support real world use: the front triangle fits a full size 750 ml bottle and there is an accessory mount under the top tube for tools or spares, keeping essentials within easy reach. The frame provides mud clearance for tyres up to 2.6 inches so you can keep speed in harsh conditions without compromise. For longevity the Mega uses MAX bearings throughout, delivering smooth operation in all weather. Service access is simple thanks to accessible hardware, sensible Allen key sizes, laser etched torque markings and tube in tube internal cable routing for a clean, rattle free setup. 3D contoured rubber guards on the down tube, seatstays and chainstays protect key areas from impacts and chain noise. Every element has been considered to create a bike that is fast, functional and durable enough for the toughest trails.

Geometry

The Nukeproof Mega has been refined to deliver a precise balance of stability, predictability and speed. Built around Nukeproof’s latest Horst link suspension, the kinematics are set up to be supple off the top for small bump sensitivity, with firm mid stroke support for cornering and pumping, and a progressive end stroke that maintains control on bigger impacts. Anti squat levels are optimized to keep pedalling efficient on climbs while preserving a lively and planted feel on descents.

The geometry follows Nukeproof’s Long, Low, Slack and Steep philosophy. Each frame size uses a dynamic saddle offset and size specific seat tube angles to place the rider in an efficient and comfortable pedalling position. The result is a chassis that climbs with precision, descends with confidence and remains balanced at race pace, ready to perform between the tape and on every other trail.

Nukeproof is quiet confidence: earned, not claimed. It’s in every product we make and every ride we take. We let the bikes speak for themselves, push riders to their limits, and unlock the full thrill of the trail.

Originally, Nukeproof focused on high-end components, such as carbon and aluminum hubs, and later on frames designed for racing. The flagship model was the Mega, developed for the extreme Megavalanche race in France. In 2010, the first downhill frame, the Scalp, was introduced, and the brand gained popularity on the World Cup circuit thanks to partnerships with teams such as Chain Reaction Cycles-Intense. In January 2026, Nukeproof was acquired by the Belgian company Cycling Factory, strengthening its position in enduro and DH.
